This includes overseeing the daily operations of the food service staff, ensuring that all food safety and sanitation standards are met, and ensuring that the food service staff is properly trained. Detailed Job Description The Assistant Food Service Director is responsible for assisting the Food Service Director in the management of the food service operations of a school, hospital, or other institution. The Assistant Food Service Director will also be responsible for developing and implementing menus, ordering food and supplies, and managing the budget. The Assistant Food Service Director will also be responsible for ensuring that all food service staff are properly trained in food safety and sanitation, and that all food service operations are in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
