As our global footprint continues to grow, we are looking for an Interns to join our SAR/EMC teams for wireless testing in Fremont, CA.
What you’ll learn & achieve::
  • Communicating with customers during setup and operation to ensure proper evaluation.
  • Following defined test plans and datasheets.
  • Examining customer samples and learning to operate basic tests for each case.
  • Recording and explaining test results and complete test report for Engineering staff.
  • Evaluating test performance and sample operation to properly evaluate test results.
  • Developing a working knowledge of the job, methods, instrumentation and systems.

  • Flexible working any shift including weekends
  • Lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis with or without assistance
  • At least 18 years of age at the time of application

What you’ll experience working at UL::
In this role you will work closely with our Specific Absorption Rate (SAR), Radio Frequency (RF), or Milimeter Wave(mmWave) laboratory teams in a dynamic, fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Our SAR/RF/mmWave professionals work closely with UL's Engineering staff to perform required laboratory tests necessary on wireless devices to deliver the fastest, highest quality and most customer-friendly service possible. UL’s laboratories uphold the most stringent quality control measures and are renowned for their innovative equipment design.

The hourly pay is $20 and you will be responsible for assisting the laboratory professionals in conducting investigations on wireless devices.

Members of the night shift benefit from an 8% shift differential in hourly pay, and this also compounds with overtime pay

No experience needed, we will provide on-the-job training.

Day and evening shifts available, including weekends and opportunities for overtime.

workshifts available:
  • RF: 4am-4pm, 4pm-4am
  • MmWave: 4am-4pm, 4pm-4am (flexibility available during school year)
  • SAR: 6am-6pm, 6pm-6am
Shifts available from mid-Feb, and candidates must be able to start by mid-May.

We expect the project to run through August.
