Wireless Support Engineer Jobs

Defining requirements for vendors for Wi-Fi features and developing tests plans and test cases to validate proposed requirements

Advance troubleshooting skills to identify root causes of RF and wireless issues

Hands on experience in Wi-Fi network optimization for high density outdoor, stadiums or enterprise environments.

Hands on experience with Cisco, Ruckus controllers or Cisco Meraki APs

Experience in site survey tools like AirMagnet or Ekahau

Experience with broadband product including CPE RDKB devices, DOCSIS, Cable Modem standards etc.

Using laptop and specialized software, load software and scripts in order to perform configuration as directed by Remote Integration Center

May be required to provide support to troubleshoot system upon request of the Remote Integration Center

Will be required to travel away from home for extended periods of time with very little advance notice

Hands on working knowledge how to do eNodeB/NodeB Rehoming/Reparenting on field

1 – 3 years LTE & CDMA , 5G integration experience required

Knowledgeable in cabling (RF, Electrical CAT5/6, T1 Copper, Fiber) and other advanced technologies

Strong and detailed analytical abilities and technical writing skills

Strong interpersonal skills and experience working with cross-functional teams

Must have customer service soft skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Some experience with RF carrier developments

Cisco router knowledge a Plus+

Developing a working knowledge of the job, methods, instrumentation and systems.

Evaluating test performance and sample operation to properly evaluate test results.

Recording and explaining test results and complete test report for Engineering staff.

Examining customer samples and learning to operate basic tests for each case.

Following defined test plans and datasheets.

Communicating with customers during setup and operation to ensure proper evaluation.

Cisco Command Line knowledge and experience

Knowledge and experience with API/scripting skills

A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Wireless Engineer preferably in a Wireless Operations Center environment (NOC experience is helpful)

Hands-on design and trouble-shooting experience with Juniper/Mist

Design and implementation of Palo Alto Firewalls

Bachelor’s Degree is preferred with a minimum of 8 years in a professional, technical IT engineering role
