Job Description
THE POSITION

The Pennsylvania Game Commission is seeking an experienced and dependable Wildlife Maintenance Propagator. If you are looking for a challenging and rewarding career, the Pennsylvania Game Commission could be the place for you!


DESCRIPTION OF WORK

A Wildlife Maintenance Propagator has many duties on the game farm that vary day to day. Some of these duties include but are not limited to farming, welding, carpentry, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing. You will assist in the raising and care of pheasants to be released to the sportsmen and sportswomen of Pennsylvania.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Shift work required during the brooding season.
  • You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.
  • Full-time employment.
  • Work hours are 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • Six months propagation experience working at a breeding facility that produces a minimum of 1000 game birds, which includes skilled maintenance and trades work utilized in building construction and equipment maintenance and operation.

Necessary Special Requirements:

  • Possession of a valid Pennsylvania Driver's License.
