You will join our Water Infrastructure and Climate Adaptation Department

As our new Engineer 1 you will be part of a team dedicated to working with municipalities and utilities to deliver a wide range of water-related projects; from preliminary studies to following projects through design and construction. The candidate will be joining a highly successful team providing complete water infrastructure and climate adaption projects, which includes site development and planning, water, wastewater, and stormwater systems, stormwater management, green infrastructure, and flood resiliency services, within the northeast region while collaborating with other offices and teams throughout Ramboll North America.

Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:

• Prepares or present routine technical reports.
• Develop project manuals including front end and technical specifications.
• Reviews vendor drawings to assure compliance with specifications.
• Analyze survey base mapping, as-built drawings, aerial photographs, geologic data, client communications, and other available information in order to advance design deliverables for review by a senior engineer.
• Prepares basic designs and perform calculations in support of projects of routine to average complexity, following design, construction and government standards, using design software and drawing tools.
• Provide supporting narrative sections to engineering reports relative to tasks completed.
• Complete design calculations, review and analyze field data, and prepare cost construction cost estimates with guidance by a senior engineer.
• Supports field assignments as required.
• Gather and record information to be used to edit or update company specifications.
• Visits job sites to gain field experience, broaden background, and develop practical engineering skills.

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology and 2+ years of qualifying engineering experience in the civil engineering field focusing on water, sewer, stormwater, and/or site design.
• Ability to perform field work in support of planning and design projects.
• Knowledge of engineering fundamentals, and proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD. Knowledge of GIS software would be a plus.
• Associates Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology and 3+ years of qualifying engineering experience in the civil engineering field focusing on water, sewer, stormwater, and/or site design.
