Warehouse And Operations Specialist

Job Overview:

An Operations Specialist performs the administrative tasks required in a warehouse dictated by office needs and physical labor required in a warehouse environment. They ensure proper and orderly storage of goods, ensure the availability of necessary equipment and space within the warehouse to facilitate proper storage, and maintain an inventory of items stored or shipped. This position also oversees the ordering, storing, receiving, and distributing processes of an organization’s products and supplies. Main duties include controlling the flow of supplies and equipment, tracking, and analyzing inventory maintenance and developing protocols for loss mitigation.

Job duties Include (but are not limited to):

• Maintaining awareness and knowledge of the condition and location of fleet vehicles.
• Ensuring the safety of staff.
• Minimize inventory loss by incorporating best supply chain practices.
• Implementing operational policies and procedures.
• Develop inventory staff schedule.
• Investigate and resolve inconsistencies with inventory.
• Maintaining documentation and keeping accurate records of warehouse activities.
• Ensuring effective and safe use of warehouse equipment.
• Implementing and overseeing security operations.
• Maintain accurate inventory of supply and products.
• When needed, make runs for parts and permits.
• Ensuring a well-coordinated reception of all materials, items, and products, and making sure they are sorted, labelled, and stored per company standards and policies.
• Overseeing receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations.
• Assist with required permits for jobs/projects from their corresponding JAH (County, city, and state level).

Job Requirements:

• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to create forms and processes.
• Decisiveness, initiative, attention to detail, and high accuracy.
• Ability to work on strategic and tactical levels with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Bilingual is a plus, but not required.
• Able to stand and bend for long periods of time in a warehouse environment.
• 2 years minimum experience in a warehouse or inventory role.
• Able to use a computer and other office technology.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
