About the Role:
Constellation is seeking a VP, Sales (Auto) to break into untapped accounts and leverage prior relationships within the automotive sector. In this role, you will report into the GM of Automotive to spearhead Constellation’s Tier 1 - Tier 2 automotive revenue generation. We are seeking a hunter that is a self-sufficient/proactive go-getter, with experience scaling new business by selling enterprise software.
- Expand Constellation’s new business for Automotive by selling our enterprise SaaS platform
- Pitch prospective clients from the point of initial meeting, to pilot, and annual MSA
- Source & identify high-fit leads & accounts without being fed leads
- Build out a new sales strategy to sell clients within Tier 1 & Tier 2 auto nationally
- Experience negotiating & brokering software deals ranging from a few hundred thousand to multimillion dollars
- Collaborate with Customer Success, Marketing, Operations, & other internal teams to properly represent vertical specific requirements
Job Requirements:
This position will require experience generating new business and substantial revenue by selling our SaaS solution to prospective customers in the automotive sector. The ability to prospect, qualify, and generate new leads is a core requirement of this role. You will be required to manage the sales process from initial outreach, contract negotiation/signing, and post-sale check-ins.
- Help drive operational processes to secure and scale new business revenue
- Strives in a non micromanaged environment while working independently
- Have a rolodex of preexisting books of business in automotive and leverage those relationships to bring in new accounts
- Track record of working with client marketing departments and executive level leadership on sales outreach & negotiations
- Experience with cold outreach, lead generation with new prospects, building & presenting pitch decks, and closing deals
- Direct experience selling in a B2B SaaS model (not media)
- Ability to travel on an as needed basis to meet with clients
Nice to Haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or a related field (preferred)
- Experience with digital marketing campaigns and assessing analytics
- Has worked in a fast-paced startup environment
- Experience with Tier 3 Auto & OEM clients
- Effective time management and project management skills

Compensation Package:
The total compensation package is made up of base compensation, commission, equity, and benefits
New York Pay Range: Base compensation $150,000 - 200,000 + Commission
