Vp Of Software Engineering

Dynamic startup seeking VP of Engineering to spearhead engineering initiatives and oversee SaaS product growth and expansion. There will be close collaboration with product, technology and other key areas to effectively execute technical roadmap. VP will play a pivotal role in establishing a high-performing engineering team that will successfully contribute to the development of a scalable SaaS business. The ideal candidate is innovative; has strong technical and product background and prior startup experience.

Responsibilities will include:

• Manage the entire software development process, encompassing design, coding, testing, deployment, and upkeep.
• Hnologies and services like AWS, amplifying the scalability, reliability, and security of our SaaS offering.
• Handle relationships with external vendors, evaluate vendors and supervise integration of third-party tools and/or services.
• Recruit and mentor team of engineers, cultivating an atmosphere of innovation, cooperation and ongoing advancement.
• Effectively lead engineering team responsible for the complete lifecycle of our SaaS product, including development, upkeep, and scalability.
• Work closely with the product team to define clear technical requirements and transform them into dependable, scalable software solutions.

• Confirm use of best practices for coding standards, performing thorough code reviews and ensuring quality assurance procedures are in place.
• Setup and monitor KPIs while leading efforts for ongoing enhancements, improving engineering processes and efficiency.

Skills and requirements:

• Proficiency in developing event-driven integrations with external third-party services.
• Bachelor degree in MIS, Computer Science, or other related field.
• Leadership experience; building and leading high-performing engineering teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to overcome complex technical obstacles while offering efficient solutions.
• Minimum 8 years of software engineering experience; to include experience building/scaling successful SaaS product in a startup environment.
• Ability to excel in a dynamic startup environment while successfully managing frequent changes in priorities.
• Skilled in TypeScript (AWS CDK), Node.js, Vue.js, and PostgreSQL.
