Overview

As the Vice President of Engineering you will be responsible to advance the function at Diamond C, developing a team to drive innovation at a rapid pace. The ideal candidate will have a successful track record leading product development roadmaps, research & development as well as sustaining engineering. This role is also expected to build a solid foundation for processes that will support our company's exponential growth.

This position is located in Mt. Pleasant, TX.

Responsibilities:

• Leverage product knowledge and different skill sets from team members to shorten product development cycle times. Find the right balance between “system fits the players” Vs. “players fit the system”.
• Team & people developer / System & process builder.
• Transformational leader and manager with ability to create order out of chaos. Proven ability to turn vision into reality through assessment, planning, resource allocation and development, communication, and performance management/accountability.
• Responsible for project management, sustaining engineering, R&D and product development.
• Collaborative internal customer service expert. Creator of win/win's.
• Humble & Confident. Knows what he/she does not know. Asks questions. Seeks thorough understanding and listens well. Learner at heart.
• Hands on Leader to drive the Engineering Transformation - advancing from current state to a best in class engineering organization.
• Deep understanding of modern, agile, and accurate, professional engineering systems within the context of a highly innovative manufacturing organization that builds complex products with many options and configurations.
• Partner that is committed to Diamond C's values, vision, and product development/innovation cycle.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge in the industry or similar industries is desired.
• Demonstrated effective management (both direct and through influence) across multiple locations and work groups.
• Process oriented; results oriented.
• 10+ years of Engineering leadership experience.
