VP of Construction- Data Centres

DataX Connect is recruiting for a VP of Construction for a leading data centre operator in the US. The client comes highly regarded in the data centre sector which extends globally with a large footprint across continents.

Role & Responsibilities

This role would suit an individual who has a proven track record running multiple successful projects & delivering multiple data centre ground-up builds at once. You will be able to build high-performing teams and be comfortable liaising with key stakeholders & with C-Suite level team members.

The successful individual will be able to deliver on the following:

• Establishing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess project performance
• Resolving any internal or external disputes promptly and effectively
• Ensure effective client relationship management
• Overseeing the implementation of new policies and procedures
• Offering leadership support to teams and fostering motivation
• Efficiently managing budgets and costs in alignment with the project planning process
• Providing comprehensive training programs for staff and managers to enhance performance and proficiency
• Taking charge of overall project operations and ensuring alignment with client and project team's safety, quality, and environmental objectives
• Developing an in-depth understanding of future project strategies and pipeline
• Assessing financial and commercial contracting matters in collaboration with senior project team members
• Conducting internal contract review meetings with legal teams and ensuring attendance of key personnel
• Facilitating seamless communication between various on-site and offsite teams to drive continuous improvement
• Acting as a critical liaison to key stakeholders, providing regular project updates
• Managing the operational aspects of the tender process
• Initiating targeted staff training initiatives when necessary

What you will bring

• Willing to travel up to 50% to jobsites across the US
• Successful track record of delivering multiple projects on-time and in full
• Bachelors degree in a construction related field (desirable)
• Successful track record of building and developing a high performing team
• Min. 12 years experience building data centres from the ground-up (required)
