Job Description
Position Summary


The visual merchandising role will be a full-time in-store merchandiser based in the WGACA Soho and Madison Ave stores. This role will partner with the SR. Visual Merchandising manager and Soho store management to maintain visual standards and is responsible for executing visual initiatives and creating compelling in-store displays. This role will work closely with the HQ team on window production, calendar and directive creation and event support. This role reports directly into the Senior Manager of Visual Merchandising.


Key Responsibilities


  • Manage Soho VM operational needs.
  • Collaborate on creative concepts with the Sr. visual merchandising manager for window displays, special events and merchandising initiatives.
  • Responsible for recapping all weekly VM actives through photos and detailed written communication.
  • Responsible for the care and maintenance of visual props, displays and collateral.
  • Travels to satellite locations to execute visual merchandising projects.
  • Lead weekly VM conference calls in partnership with Soho and Madison Ave store managers.
  • Utilizes the visual merchandising calendar to inform floor moves and capsule installations.
  • Responsible for tracking sell through and productivity of all visual activity including floor moves, window and mannequin looks.
  • Support window installations, event installations and activations.
  • Executes merchandising strategies for the retail stores. This includes floor sets, changes to accessory and jewelry displays, mannequins and windows.
  • Responsible for recapping daily merchandising activity as part of closing report.
  • Maintains standards of merchandising, organization, and cleanliness that will be enforced, supported and delegated with assistance from store management.


Requirements


  • 3-5 years of visual merchandising experience
  • Strong styling and luxury/vintage designer knowledge
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel and Adobe Suit. Not required but Sketchup/Rhino experience a plus
  • Comfortable with ladders
  • Flexibility for travel
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Experience analyzing retail data and strategy implementation
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Ability to lift in excess of 20 pounds
