Job Summary And Qualifications

The Virtual Registered Nurse (RN) coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care by determining the predictable health status and health needs of patients through interpretation of health data and preventive practice in a virtual setting. The Virtual RN supports the efforts of on-site staff to provide individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models. The Virtual RN models a commitment to the organization’s vision/mission/values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance.

What You Will Do

• Identify indicators of potential clinical deterioration and consults with care team to execute intervention measures
• Maintain compliance in confidentiality adhering to HIPAA and PHI in work from home standards
• Provide education to patients/families/caregivers through active teaching by virtual conference; explain patient medical condition, patient status, treatment plan, medications and possible side effects, and follow-up measures while translating complex medical terminology to ensure complete understanding
• Consult with a multidisciplinary care team to coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver a holistic patient treatment plan that promotes and supports recovery
• Recognize and respond to crisis situations, errors, and unusual occurrences
• Manages evidence-based practices and continuous process improvement initiatives to meet and exceed quality measures and enhance the exceptional care provided to patients
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments regarding the health status of the patient

What You Will Need

• Associates degree in Nursing or RN Diploma required
• 3+ years’ experience required
• Bachelors degree in Nursing preferred
