Overview:
Assures the delivery of safe, quality and cost-efficient care by competent staff members in Mercy Hospital Springfield and other designated unit(s) at Mercy Hospital Springfield. Ensures efficient utilization of available resources and meets productivity and/or financial goals. Meets customer satisfaction goals. Works collaboratively and effectively with other administrative personnel, physicians, and staff from other areas throughout the Health System to enhance communication, share pertinent data, and improve processes across the continuum. Performs related duties as assigned. Works with department leaders to oversee the recruitment of staff for designated departments. Reports to the Chief Nursing Officer.
Qualifications:

• Experience: Five years' experience in a hospital setting plus previous management/leadership experience is required.
• Certifications: Nursing Leadership preferred
• Other: Demonstrates skills in human relations and communication, both written and verbal. Demonstrates clinical expertise in patient care delivery. Possesses the ability to assess data andassist personnel in providing appropriate level of care.
• Required Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN required and Master's Degree in health-related field.
