Dyno LLC, headquartered in Pompano Beach, Florida, is the exclusive licensee of the Singer brand for sewing notions and aids (“sewing products”) and one of the largest producers and marketers of sewing products in North America.

Dyno sells to well over 50,000 retail locations across nearly every major sales channel in the U.S. and, increasingly, overseas, demonstrating not only its strong position in the domestic market but the substantial opportunity for future international growth. Customers include major food, drug and mass (“FDM”) retailers, wholesale clubs, home improvement/DIY and destination stores, such as Wal-Mart, Walgreen’s, CVS, Target, The Home Depot, K-Mart, Jo-Ann’s, Lowe’s, Kroger and Canadian Tire.

Seeking Local Florida Candidates in Broward, Palm Beach and/or Miami-Dade Counties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Located in Pompano Beach, FL and reports to the CEO, this role will be responsible for key operations areas of the company including:

• Pompano, FL Warehouse and Pick/Pack facility
• Oversight of the Forecasting and Planning Process
• Global Logistics and Transportation
• Matamoros, MX Bow and Packaging Operation

Responsible for Order Fulfillment process from Forecasting/Planning through shipment of orders.

• Work closely with Sales and Finance to maintain accurate customer/category level forecasts.
• Implement appropriate processes to improve productivity and service throughout operation and put in place metrics and performance management process to drive results.
• Identify systems tools that are needed to deliver high performance and work with IT and Finance to justify and implement including Order Management System, Shop Floor Tools, EDI/ASN s/w, etc.

Provide operational oversight to Mexican operation.

• Facilitate good communication between Mexican facility and rest of the organization.
• Implement Lean concepts to increase effectiveness of operation including the expansion of capacity to support value added packaging services.

Forecasting and Planning

• Refine and improve existing forecasting and planning process.
• Lead regular SOP meetings effectively ‘quarterbacking’ the organization to deliver on time, in compliance, and at lowest cost.
• Partner in assessing current and potential suppliers with focus on delivery, service and logistics capabilities.
• Manage Master Production Schedule (MPS)

Direct Reports to include:

• Director of Mexico facility
• Manager of Pompano WH/DC
• Director of Supply Chain

Background/Experience

• Understands and has implemented Lean processes
• Minimum10 years of increasing experience including time spent managing WH/Distribution facility or departments within large facility.
• Has built strong processes to improve business operations
• Participant in forecasting and planning process, ideally leader of process.
• Bachelor’s degree required; concentration in operations or engineering preferred
• Has had oversight for multiple locations managing remote teams.
• Experience managing inventory- Forecasting, Planning, Addressing Slow-Moving, etc.
• Experience in organizations sourcing globally
• Experience doing business in Mexico; Spanish language skills a strong plus
• Experience bridging needs of sales and marketing with those of operations.
• Global logistics experience a plus.
• Has negotiated contracts and managed supplier performance to SLA’s and contract terms.
