Job Title: Vice President of Operations
Location: Deerfield Beach, FL
Duration: Full Time
Summary of Position:
The Vice President of Operations is responsible for all aspects of operations related to People, Safety, Quality,
Productivity, and Delivery to ensure approved products are manufactured on schedule and meet all quality, delivery, and
cost objectives. The VP will work collaboratively with other business partners to increase throughput, improve efficiency,
and minimize costs to ensure the team meets or exceeds the business objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage, develop and lead Operations team.
Ultimately responsible for managing and driving results for all areas of the operation including Quality, Delivery,
Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering, and Facilities.
Oversee all aspects of supply chain including planning, sourcing, logistics, inventory, PPV, freight and OTD.
Responsible for site productivity improvements and performance.
Meet growth objectives by supporting both top line revenue goals and new product development objectives.
Coordinate all operations functions including personnel responsibilities, budgets, capacity planning, manpower
utilization, equipment, and facilities.
Establish and maintain standard work and delivery, productivity, and quality metrics on the Production floor.
Develop, train, assist, and advise managers and supervisors and administer company policies and procedures.
Ensure operations conform to federal, state, local and industry-specific regulations and specifications.
Actively engage with employees, supervisors, and other managers on the shop floor.
Domestic and International Travel up to 25%.
May be required to perform duties outside of the normal responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications:
Must be a US Person.
4-year college degree (Manufacturing or related Engineering field). MBA Preferred.
10 years of progressive manufacturing experience and responsibilities, 5 of which must be in a senior
management / supervisory capacity.
Requires broad technical and administrative experience in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to achieve strategic improvements while meeting tactical objectives.
Success in managing through influence, persuasion, coaching and counseling.
Self-starter, with experience driving a high energy, successful team-based organizational structure and culture.
Working familiarity with Lean manufacturing tools and concepts.
Strong computer skills (MS office software, Visual Software and ERP).
Excellent communications and instruction skills in English.
Demonstrated proficiency in time and project management.
Ability to present in front of diverse groups and translate complex information into clear communications.
