Vice President Of Operations

Job Summary:

Kaufman Lynn is currently seeking qualified applicants for a Vice President of Operations position. This is an immediate, full-time opportunity within our growing organization.

Job Responsibilities:

• Presents periodic performance reports and metrics to the senior leadership
• Establishes, communicates, and implements operations-related policies, practices, standards, and security measures to ensure effective and consistent support and execution
• Identifies training needs and ensures proper training is developed and provided
• Collaborates with executive leadership to develop and meet company goals while supplying expertise and guidance on operations projects and systems
• Establishes and administers the department’s budget
• Maintains knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in operations management
• Establishes, implements, and communicates the strategic direction of construction operations
• Identifies, recommends, and implements new processes, technologies, and systems to improve and streamline organizational processes and use of resources and materials
• Ensures that departmental decisions and project plans such as those for staffing, development, organization, material efficiency, hardware acquisitions, and facilities are in line with the organizations business plan and vision
• Reviews and approves cost-control reports, cost estimates, and staffing requirements for projects
• Collaborates with other divisions and departments to carry out the company’s goals and objectives

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, Logistics or other industry-related field required; MBA, MAC or equivalent graduate degree preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate and build a consensus in a high-pressure environment
• Demonstrated project and budget management skills
• Extensive knowledge of the principles, procedures, and best practices in the construction industry
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel)
• Ability to set overall strategy and drive process improvement
• Strong business acumen with a broad understanding of fundamental business principles
• Analytical problem-solving skills with an impeccable attention to detail
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Proven track record as a team leader with an understanding of management practices
• 10+ years of construction industry experience including 3+ years in upper management required
• Thorough understanding of emerging relevant technology
