Job Description

Position: Program Executive

Reports to: President

Division: Special Projects

Status: Regular Full Time Position – Exempt/Salary


Value Proposition


Responsible for all aspects of the development/implementation of our modularization program and projects involving cross-functional teams focused on the delivery from design, fabrication, integration, and construction. Provide strategic thought and direction to project leaders to drive activities and achieve business objectives. Key Responsibilities


Planning:

  • Recommend/take action to direct the analysis of and solution to problems.
  • Oversee the coordination of multi-company workflows and requirements.
  • Make decisions in support of project strategies, driving critical path decisions, escalation of roadblocks for resolution and mitigates program and project risk.
  • Analyze and measure the effectiveness of existing business processes and develop sustainable, repeatable, and quantifiable business process improvements.
  • Direct team members in the daily/weekly project planning process.
  • Manage execution of rollout strategies and new modular products by developing, updating, and completing the Module Execution Plan for multi-year contracts in multiple facilities with various trades (companies).
  • Apply an evaluation method to assess program strengths and identify areas for improvement.


Project Execution:

  • Implement controls over variables affecting job progress to ensure engineering and procurement provide timely delivery of drawings, materials, craft labor, and equipment.
  • Direct the preparation of cost estimates and comparisons for modularization and preassemblies alternatives and present options for evaluation by Senior Leadership and Client.
  • Develop and manage third party partners (Paint, Galvanizing, warehouse, suppliers, vendors), ensuring that they are meeting contractual commitments.
  • Review, analyze, and report monthly on module program budget, schedule, productivity, and quality performance. Take appropriate action to intervene to return the project to plan.
  • Develop project specific procedures and allocates resources.
  • Manage key dependencies and interfaces between projects and program workstreams and liaising with senior management on risks and issues affecting delivery and mitigating risks.
  • Provide project oversite and produces weekly/monthly forecasting that optimizes throughput and efficiency in execution plan.
  • Direct implementation of program Safety & Health and Loss Control procedures and is responsible for ensuring that the program meets the agreed safety targets.
  • Break down barriers for team, ensuring they have the resources needed for project success.
  • Plan and recommend procedures to be implemented to ensure project execution plan is aligned with contract and estimate.


Modularization and Assembly

  • Utilize prior experience in high-volume manufacturing to optimize throughput/efficiency in plan execution.
  • Ensure step by step improvements in departmental processes that meet and enhance operational performance.
  • Implement Six Sigma/Lean principals to understand business strategy and align processes to achieve optimal production.


Coach and Guidance

  • Build the modulization team and provide leadership and developmental opportunities to cross-functional team to include engineering, procurement, production, quality assurance and safety.
  • Proactively support, encourage, and facilitate team members to engage in continuous improvement activities.
  • Instill a culture of high accountability on expected results.
  • Develop organizational structure, including critical roles and responsibilities to support business objectives.
  • Assess and support the change management effects associated with the implementation of improvement.
  • Establish objective criteria for individual and team performance assessment centered around customer results.
  • Lead and facilitate meetings at all levels of the organization to ensure cross alignment to parent company and subsidiaries strategy and to manage execution of plans to meet objectives.


Customer & Vendor Engagement:

  • Regularly interact with executives and/or major customers to address complex issues, negotiations, and escalations.
  • Identify opportunities for additional services/scope to leverage other subsidiaries and business units.
  • Define and collaborate on sourcing strategies, pricing efforts and contractor selection.
  • Own contractual requirements with client and manage changes timely.
  • Ensure efficient and effective communication of program/project related information to all levels of the organization and external partners.
  • Engage with third party suppliers presenting requirements and where appropriate negotiate service requirements (and if appropriate costs).
  • Establish and maintain relationships and develop a high level of trust and credibility with clients, owners, stake holders, alliance partners, subcontractors, and suppliers. Serve as point of contact for customers as well as market opportunities.


Financials:

  • Take responsibility to challenge unknown costs, deliver revenue, margin, and growth.
  • Drive a weekly (or daily as required) Earn vs burn forecast for the modularization process.
  • Coordinate multiple company job financials to roll-up into the Modularization P&L.
  • Responsible for the project job cost reporting and forecasting to enable the business to achieve financial targets.
  • Weekly Job cost vs estimate (identify opportunities and hard spots)
  • Manage the modulization group budget and P&L, in collaboration with each stakeholder and business leaders. This includes the over/under utilization factors of production.


Education/Training - Work Experience

  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent
  • Building and installing tuckable modules
