ROLE DESCRIPTION
The Vice President (VP) of Administration for OneOme reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and leads multiple functions within the organization including Human Resources, Finance, and Information Technology. The VP, Administration also supports the CEO in developing and implement the company's strategic plan and goal setting process in partnership with other company executives, as well as in developing, tracking and monitoring the company’s performance metrics and reporting results of the organization’s goals and objectives. The position is also responsible for governing and compiling the same for each of the company’s departments. Additionally, the VP, Administration works closely with the CEO in managing Board of Director meetings, reports and communications as well as ensuring the completion of company deliverables and commitments to the Board.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Evaluate company policies and make modifications as appropriate
- Set performance metrics and establish business practices to achieve objectives for the department for which the VP, Administration is responsible
- Collaborate with colleagues to implement policies and develop improvements
- Develop and implement the company's strategic plan in partnership with other team members
- Other duties as assigned
- Provide guidance to subordinate staff and evaluate performance
- Resolve issues that may arise in a timely manner
- Set goals for departments and individual managers
QUALIFICATIONS
- Excellent organizational and leaderships skills with the ability to prioritize multiple incoming demands while working effectively with other team members
- Ability to earn the confidence of the stakeholders and any external partners and effectively communicate, motivate, and inspire cross-functional teams with professionalism and clarity
- A team builder and strong coach. Able to recruit, retain and mentor top talent
- Experience working in a start-up environment
- Knowledge of fiscal planning, budgeting and reporting
- Proficient in MS Office and other required software tools
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus, but not required
- Proficiency in key business functions the position oversees (HR, Communications, Finance, and Information Technology) and team management
- Seasoned leader in planning and execution of the approved multi-year business plan; must ensure that deadlines and objectives are met for the organization
- Ability to make sound decisions and solve problems using critical thinking skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Minimum of 5 years’ complex organizational systems experience with emphasis on Strategy, Planning, Performance Management, Administration and Enterprise Shared Services
- An individual with emotional intelligence to attract world-class talent and to enable organizational competence amid pervasive change.
- Experience leading complex strategic and operational initiatives including building business cases to support recommendations
- A change agent and champion who will lead the product organization toward growth and transformation
- Bachelor's degree; MBA preferred
POSITION LOCATION
This position is hybrid, based in Minnesota located at OneOme Headquarters, 807 Broadway St NE, Suite 100, Minneapolis, MN 55413.
SCHEDULE AND HOURS
This position requires the ability to work between the core company business hours of Monday - Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Central Time. Work outside of normal company work hours including weekends may also be required depending upon business needs.
