As the Vice President of Human Resources for The Cheesecake Factory Bakery, you will be a key strategic leader responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources management within our two bakeries (Calabasas, CA & Rocky Mount, NC). You will collaborate with the Bakery and HR leadership teams to develop and execute people strategies that foster a positive work culture, attract top talent, and support the organization's growth and success.

Responsibilities

Here’s what you’ll get to do:
  • Be a key player in the overall HR Leadership team.
  • Oversee performance management processes, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and career development.
  • Create and execute employee engagement initiatives to promote a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, conducting investigations when necessary.
  • Oversee the full recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing and screening candidates to conducting interviews and making offers.
  • Handle sensitive HR matters with confidentiality, empathy, and professionalism.
  • Lead the HR team and provide guidance on recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training, and development.
  • Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and programs aligned with the company's mission and values.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of safety laws and regulations and ensure the organization's compliance with all applicable safety requirements.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Lead HR-related projects and participate in strategic planning discussions with the executive team.
  • Utilizing data and feedback, determine the best strategies to drive strategic change and tactical execution of HR processes in the Bakery.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations and maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR best practices.
  • Implement and enhance learning and development programs to foster continuous employee growth and skill enhancement.
  • Partner with Bakery leaders and HR department heads to understand staffing needs, workforce planning, and talent acquisition strategies.


Qualifications

What we require:
  • Experience in handling employee/staff relations issue resolution, utilizing in-depth knowledge of HR laws & and best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing successful employee engagement and retention programs.
  • Ability to travel to our East Coast Bakery for approximately one week per month (schedule may vary).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and HR strategy development.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing HR team.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Prior experience in the manufacturing industry.
  • Minimum of 10 years in a senior human resources leadership role.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use HR metrics to drive data-based decision-making.

What we prefer:
  • Experience in driving organizational change management initiatives
  • Familiarity with HR software and systems for efficient HR operations.
  • Bilingual in Spanish (Proficient in both written and spoken).
  • Master’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

Compensation Range

$200,000 - $250,000 / Year
