A leading company in the grocery industry is currently seeking a Vice President of Human Resources to join their team. The role will be challenging but also highly rewarding and this leader will be a key voice in the company. For the right executive, this is a fantastic opportunity with great growth prospects. Key duties include:
1) Develop and implement comprehensive HR strategies, policies, and programs that support the company's growth and talent needs
2) Lead and manage all aspects of the HR function, including talent acquisition, performance management, employee engagement, compensation and benefits, learning and development, Payroll and HR operations
3) Partner closely with the Executive Team to understand business goals and provide strategic guidance on human capital management and organizational development initiatives
4) Drive the recruitment and onboarding process to attract and select top talent to ensure a seamless and positive candidate experience
5) Foster a culture of continuous learning and development and implement programs that enhance employee skills, engagement, and career growth
6) Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to ensure a fair and inclusive workplace for all employees
7) Oversee employee relations to ensure compliance with employment laws, handle employee issues, and promote a positive work environment
8) Represent PAQ at personnel-related hearings and work collaboratively with outside counsel on new labor laws that need to be incorporated into workforce management
9) Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes to ensure HR policies and programs remain compliant and effective
10) Manage and optimize HR and Payroll systems and processes to streamline operations and enhance efficiency
Critical Requirements
1) A university degree is required. Although all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with degrees in a relevant field
2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)
3) Recent experience in the grocery industry is strongly preferred
4) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in human resources management
