Summary

The Vice President of Planning - Manufacturing will be responsible for the planning strategy and processes within the largest division of the Company. This role will drive end-to-end accountability in supply chain planning, design, and execution across the division, including maintaining healthy inventory levels and executing mitigating actions.

• Ability and willingness to travel throughout North America and overseas as necessary

Essential Responsibilities

• Ensure best practice application in creating strategic guidelines and short, mid and long-term supply chain planning design
• Own the Demand and Supply review meetings, enabling the balancing of demand and supply by facilitating cross-functional adjustments
• Educates cross-functional partners (e.g., Sales, PLM, etc.) on the processes and engages them in the ongoing process as appropriate
• Lead and coordinate the Planning organization of the division ensuring consistency and on-time delivery of forecasts
• Track actions resulting from process meetings, ensuring completion prior to the following meeting
• Responsible for a single validated consensus forecast used across Operations and Finance
• Work with Planning COE and Division Planning Director / Leads to standardize planning processes, ensuring implementation of best practices globally
• Develop and implement monitoring and reporting on cross-functional KPIs to ensure effective processes
• Work with Operations to optimize capacity utilization while meeting customer demand
• Foster a continuous improvement mindset across all areas of responsibility, fostering alignment with relevant stakeholders
• Mitigate and solve escalated issues to debottleneck supply chain operations

Required Education, Skills, and Experience

• Deep understanding of market/product requirements and manufacturing processes and constraints
• Strong interpersonal skills (e.g., fostering trust, collaborating with colleagues in other organizations, managing conflict, empowering teams)
• Demonstrated leadership skills in managing, coaching, and developing cross-functional, global teams
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; Master’s degree highly preferred
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to effectively lift discussions on relevant matters to Executive level
• 25+ years of related experience and extensive end-to-end supply chain management across both supply chain strategy and planning
• Understanding of analytical capabilities to develop strong demand planning forecasts
• Holds self and organization accountable for high-quality results
• Ability to inspire change at all levels of the organization
