Vice President Of Finance- Remote

iboss is seeking a Vice President of Finance to join our executive team. The VP of Finance will have a key voice in developing and executing current and long-range financial and business strategies, both organic and inorganic. The VP of Finance will collaborate with finance and other functional teams to provide financial guidance and insight and ensure fiscal responsibility and financial controls. By reporting to and partnering closely with the CEO to accelerate growth and drive operational excellence throughout the company.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper revenue recognition of complex multi-element activities, SaaS revenue model, Strong handle of ASC 606 and record of implementing complex revenue recognition models.
• Empowering the organization with accurate and speedy financial reporting, inquisitive and detailed financial forecasting, powerful strategic and analytical horsepower to support business units, and rigorous processes to support business growth and scale.
• Assess, implement and monitor all internal control practices including accuracy of system reports used for financial reporting and direct department policies and procedures.
• Provide leadership to finance and accounting team through effective objective setting, delegation, and communication
• Leading departmental OKR planning and budget preparation and influencing decision-making across the company with objective and data-driven financial and strategic frameworks to support business growth and scale.
• An expert understanding of GAAP, cash basis, and accrual basis accounting. They will have experience with interstate and international financial operations and taxation issues as well as in-depth knowledge of financial benchmarking, accounting including cost accounting, revenue recognition, audit, tax compliance including relating to equity compensation, and other regulatory matters.
• Be involved in future M&A, fundraising, valuation, portfolio management, accounting & filings, including the integration of financial reporting.
• Serve on the Executive Team as the principal voice of the finance and accounting organization, creating and nurturing a highly effective feedback loop between finance and all other departments
• Oversee the strengthening of financial operations, internal controls and reporting processes
• Effectively preparing and communicating business analysis and financial reporting to the board of directors and investors to drive strategic decisions, and increase company visibility among internal stakeholders and investors, alike.
• Oversight and accountability for all aspects of accounting: revenue accounting, general accounting, payroll, cash management and treasury, equity accounting and tax compliance and the month-end close process
• Accelerating growth and driving operational excellence by partnering closely with the CEO and leadership team to proactively identify and execute key initiatives.
• Coordinate quarterly reviews and annual audit with Big 4 external auditors as well as managing relationships with those auditors
• Maintain Cap Table and other aspects of stock option program
• Direct, coordinate, maintain and control the company’s accounting and reporting in accordance with US GAAP as well as with corporate policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Established and detail orientated self-starter with experience working in a hands-on environment able to prioritize workload and provide solutions and able to navigate through the complex structure, systems, and processes
• Proven leadership skills inspiring great results with positive attitudes in a fast-paced team environment able to influence, train and mentor staff to achieve objectives
• Previous experience with SaaS/subscription business models and NetSuite or other SAAS ERP preferred
• An entrepreneurial mindset: you can be a strategic thinker and embrace the details to fully understand the business and to lead by example.
• Demonstrated business operations orientated person with strong analytical skills
• Proven success shaping and maintaining the accounting and finance operations and reporting as a finance leader in a public company, pre-IPO company or in public accounting.
• 15+ years of progressive experience, including a minimum of 5+ years of management experience
• Solid knowledge of US GAAP and compliance with proven hands-on technical and operational accounting experience and financial expertise with public entities
• Passion for technology and genuine desire to make meaningful contributions on a team with big aspirations
