Job Description

The executive search firm of Saenger Associates has been exclusively retained to find a Vice President Human Resources for one of the nation’s leading home furnishings retailers and on-line organizations. They are over one billion in revenue, Southern California based and privately held. Our client maintains e-commerce sites and operates retail showrooms across the Western and Southwestern US.


Responsibilities:

• Reporting to the executive in charge of retail and on-line; you will be responsible for providing dynamic leadership to enable the company to be viewed as an employer of choice for current and future employees.

• Direct and motivate HR team to ensure they are providing proactive services to internal management and employees at all locations.

• Serve as strategic advisor to executives and key leadership staff and actively contribute ideas to positively impact the business.


Requirements:

• 15+ years in Human Resources, at least five as top HR leader for a business in retail, hospitality, or food services sectors.

• BS in Business, Human Resources or Organizational Development; MBA or Masters in HR a plus.

• Open to travel to field locations.

• Must be both hands-on and strategic – will be the HR “face” of the company regarding branding, culture, and accessibility.
