Job Description

Job Vision:

As the Vice President of People Operations for FM, you have strong leadership skills, passion for people development and the ability to drive company success. You will play a critical role in shaping and leading the team culture and people strategy for our organization. Your primary focus will be to create a culture that fosters employee engagement, development, and retention. You will lead a team responsible for talent acquisition, learning and development, compensation and benefits, and employee relations. You will collaborate with the leadership team to align people initiatives with business goals and ensure that our organization remains a great place to work. Core Duties & Responsibilities:


Talent Acquisition & Recruiting

  • Improve Employer Branding including fm.co, LinkedIn, and Glassdoor
  • Oversee First Day Orientation Experience
  • Manage Interview Process from start to finish including intake meetings with managers, defining the interview process and creating necessary feedback loops to allow for the best hiring decisions
  • Attract Exceptional Talent
  • Build pipeline of candidates by continually source passive candidate and networking
  • Build authentic job descriptions and maximize engagement by posting on the most relevant job boards
  • Oversee Applicant Tracking Platform


Employee Engagement and Performance Development

  • Employee Growth & Development
  • Manager and continue to build our Performance Development program
  • Foster employee engagement by maintaining a healthy culture of defined expectations and allow great feedback through regular check ins, semi-annual surveys and informal interviews
  • Team Resources & Education


Oversee HR Functions

  • As an internally distributed organization, stay up to date on all international and state filings and all associated record keeping
  • Facilitate all employee relations and legal matters with the utmost level of integrity
  • Oversee administration of total compensation including processing payroll, benefits administration, annual compensation reviews, and retirement plans.
  • Ensure the organization is in full compliance with regulation through your knowledge of HR laws and regulations including a strong understanding of federal, state, and local laws related to employment, as well as best practices for compliance and risk management


Technology

  • Manage hardware for the organization including but not limited to: ordering laptops & tech for new employees, maintaining hardware upgrade schedule, managing current hardware inventory, managing MDM on all FM devices and maximizing resale of unused inventory
  • Manage local network including managing and overseeing campus wifi and VPN
  • Provide IT Support to local and remote team members as well as scheduling and taking laptops and other hardware for repair
  • Manage Access to local server and work with 3rd party to manage the hardware, maintenance and necessary upgrades to the server
  • Oversee software management including company wide software subscriptions, quarterly security audits, quarterly software audit and working to reduce waste on unnecessarily software spend


Team Management

  • Recruit, hire, lead, and manage the People Ops team
  • Motivate and inspire employees to achieve organizational goals by fostering a positive team environment with an emphasis on communication and collaboration
  • Develop others to succeed and flourish in their current role; provide real time feedback, instruction, and training to prepare them to take on larger responsibilities
  • Ensure employees have the tools necessary to complete tasks, and facilitate when needed to help processes flow smoothly
  • Conduct performance and annual reviews per company cadence


  • Serve as the lead point of contact for all customer account management matters, building and maintaining strong, long-lasting client relationships
  • Collaborate with Account Executive to develop and execute account strategy and relationships with key accounts and client stakeholders.
  • Partner with cross-functional internal teams (including Customer Service and Product) to improve the entire customer experience
  • Forecast and track key account metrics, clearly communicating the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives
  • Partner with Agency, Corporate, Media, and Production clients to maintain/expand relationships
  • Grow new business with existing clients and identify areas of improvement to meet sales quotas


Experience and Skills:

  • Working knowledge in Google Drive (Docs & Sheets), Google Calendar, Gmail, Mac OS, and Digital Agreement signing apps
  • Rippling and Clickup experience a bonus
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field
  • Experience in technology including Apple hardware and operating systems, as well as software such as MDMs and general software management
  • Strong communication skills including: Email, phone, and group presentation
  • Background in scaling organizations
  • 5+ year experience leading HR or People Operations teams
  • Deep understanding of people platforms such Rippling, Lattice, Linkedin, ATS
