Job Description

Company Overview:

Takanock, a stealth-mode company, is focused on providing Continuity of Power™ solutions for mission-essential functions, ensuring protection of behind-the-meter microgrids against sources of radio frequency interference (RFI) such as solar flares or electromagnetic pulses (EMPs). Partnered with the leading experts in RFI/EMP protection technology, Takanock applies this cutting-edge technology to backup generators and behind-the-meter microgrids to safeguard mission-essential functions against high-impact events on nation's electrical grid.


Role:

As the Vice President of Corporate Strategy, you will play a crucial role in shaping the strategic direction of our organization. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, you will contribute to the development and execution of the company's corporate strategy. Success in this position involves collaborating effectively with the core team and driving growth in our organization.


Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform strategic decision-making
  • Collaborate with the CCO and other key stakeholders to set business priorities and ensure alignment with overall company goals
  • Identify strategic opportunities, challenges, and risks in the industry and provide recommendations for action
  • Develop and refine the company's corporate strategy in alignment with its mission and objectives
  • Provide strategic guidance and input during the company's transition from seed funding to institutional private equity funding
  • Support the development of business plans and financial models for new initiatives and potential investments


Qualifications:

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience in data centers, renewable energy, or related fields
  • Must be based in Traverse City and willing to be in the office at least 80% of the time
  • Proven track record in a startup environment with a willingness to take on a variety of tasks and responsibilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • MBA or Master's degree in a related field
