Description


The Operations Manager (OM) is a leader and an integral member of the veterinary practice management team. The OM partners with the Medical Director & Hospital Director to ensure a profitable operation by growing revenue and managing costs while creating a practice culture based on high-quality patient care and exceptional customer service. The OM reports to ROM. Responsibilities include managing, planning, coordinating the practice's overall operations, and cultivating a supportive and collaborative team environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provides management and supervision to support staff when on shift
  • Maintain website, social media and local advertising
  • Oversees business operations of the hospital including equipment, repairs, supplies, records, telephone and computer systems
  • Responds appropriately to negative online reviews.
  • Develops, implements and maintains procedures manual for hospital
  • Supports Inventory Managers liaison with drug and sales representatives
  • Audits monthly invoices from 3rd party vendors prior to submitting to AP
  • Oversees Inventory manager, Admin Manager, and Technician Director
  • Supports Admin Manager in organizing conferences and staff events/meetings
  • Building Expansion Project Management
  • Drives client visits through strategic client communication and local marketing efforts
  • Manages all social media, FB, IG, website


Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Supervisory and leadership experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related degree is preferred.
  • Experience in a practice setting in positions of increased responsibility is a plus.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a manager role, including customer service experience.
  • Intermediate computer skills i.e. Microsoft Office suite and ability to become proficient in Practice Management Software.
