Venture Capital Fellow Jobs

The Emerging Markets Cancer Ignition Fund (“EMCIFund”) is an oncology focused venture capital fund that will leverage a pre-validated pathway between established and emerging markets to overcome critical bottlenecks in the product development lifecycle.

EMCIFund’s Venture Fellow program is a part-time and remote Venture Capital fellowship that educates & empowers diverse professionals to launch careers in VC and life sciences. EMCIFund values hustle, humility, humor, creative thinking, proactivity, emotional intelligence and results. These values are core to our venture capital firm. We are looking for a graduate intern to join our venture capital firm and interns will work remotely for approximately 3 months. The ideal candidates will demonstrate a number of important characteristics, including:

• 2+ years prior full time work experience, either in healthcare, venture capital, growth equity, management consulting, investment banking, or a mix of prior work experiences.
• Graduate school in progress or completed.
• A proven track record to thrive in an unstructured environment through resourcefulness, high efficiency and work ethic
• Healthcare fluency, a passion for healthcare, and prior exposure to healthcare and/or the healthcare investing ecosystem
• Someone who is comfortable executing with little direction and/or structure, and who will pro-actively ask for clarification or direction when needed
• Outstanding and concise written and verbal communication skills

You will be involved in supporting the team in all aspects of the venture capital firm processes, including:

• Attending conferences and industry events as a representative of EMCIF
• Helping EMCIF’s portfolio companies continue to grow and attract talent
• Helping to evaluate and implement initiatives that build upon the broader EMCIF ecosystem
• Connecting with Limited Partners ("LPs")
• Conducting due diligence of prospective new and follow-on investments, including analysis of financials, key metrics, growth opportunities, and future financing prospects
• Evaluating and screening companies that might present new investment opportunities
• Developing analytical perspectives on markets and opportunities across our thesis areas
