Job Description

UX/UI Designer designs software-based experiences and platforms that meet healthcare customer needs and enhance the user experience. Must be an analytical and creative designer who is able to translate user needs into pragmatic solutions. A strong portfolio of successful UX/UI and other technical projects is essential along with the ability to influence the core R&D engineering and clinical teams.


Essential Functions and Main Duties

  • Maintain, innovate, fix, and update existing applications in Figma
  • Communicate the UX at various stages of the design process to stakeholders
  • Create UI/UX deliverables, including interaction models, task flows, personas, wireframes, site maps and user/functional requirements that are relevant to product specifications
  • Optimize UI designs in critical areas of the existing product
  • Document UX/UI requirements, screen designs, and design recommendations
  • Duties may be modified or assigned at any time based on business need.
  • Use research-related services, theories and methods to support best-practice
  • Translate design concepts into functional prototypes
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.
  • Design a comprehensive set of UI elements such as navigation menus, search boxes, tabs, and forms for standardizing all user interaction
  • Assist in user research and testing throughout the product lifecycle
  • Create iconography and visual design with thoughtful typography, color, to enhance a design

Qualifications

Education / Certification / Experience required

  • Proficient in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Balsamiq, etc.)
  • 3+ years of experience as a UI/UX designer

  • Familiarity with interaction design on various platforms (e.g., native mobile, web, etc.) and information architecture
  • Bachelor's degree in human-computer interaction, human factors, communications, or equivalent education and experience accepted in lieu
  • Experience as a UX/UI Designer, UI Designer or similar role preferably in healthcare
  • Level and compensation depending on experience, training and skills.
  • Portfolio of design projects

Compensation

The anticipated range for this position is $85,000 to $127,000. Actual placement within the range is dependent on multiple factors, including but not limited to skills, education, experience and location.

Working Conditions

Schedule: The regular hours for this full-time position are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday, unless otherwise stated by the department manager. Holiday, weekend, and evening work hours may be required. Regular hours may vary due to the needs of the organization or department and are subject to change at any time at the Company's discretion.

Physical: Generally may require some reaching, bending, stooping, squatting, crawling, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying up to 20 pounds, finger dexterity, repetitive motions, standing, walking, sitting, hearing, visual acuity, color vision, and 2-way written/verbal communication in English. More specific details may be provided as needed or requested.

Travel: Minimal

Access to Customer Sites: It is an essential function of this position to perform duties in healthcare facilities, and to achieve the necessary vendor credentialing. As part of this process, it is typically required to provide proof of vaccinations (including for COVID-19), and related personal medical information, and to comply with other criteria as needed to be able to work at customer sites. Typical vendor credentialing expenses will be paid/reimbursed by the Company.
