As a utilities meter crew leader, you coordinate the utility work for operations, maintenance, and installation of the potable and reclaimed water distribution. • Operate specialized equipment, such as vacuum trucks, sewer-flushing devices, rodding equipment, jetting equipment, excavators, backhoes, end loaders, trenchers, and other related equipment.
• Coordinate and oversee the daily work activities of three (3) or more staff.
• Perform right-of-way MOT and all restorations relating to complete utility maintenance and repairs.
• Perform complete underground utility inspection and discovery , maintenance, repair, installation, and construction of the potable and reclaimed water distribution, wastewater.

Work Hours: Monday – Friday 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. *On-Call Required.

About You

Minimum Qualifications :

• A valid Florida Driver's License at the time of hire.
• A High School Diploma or its equivalent.
• One (1) year of experience in operations, maintenance, and construction.
• Must acquire Class "A" Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with tanker “N” endorsement within six (6) months.

Physical Demands: Must frequently lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.

Subject to Passing Substance Screening: This position is subject to passing a pre-employment substance screening. An applicant who fails to pass a required drug screening test shall be disqualified from employment in any class for a period of five (5) years.

About Everything Else

Starting Pay Range: $18.05 (Step 1) - $20.92 (Step 6), depending on experience

Position Salary Range: $18.05 (Step 1) - $26.50 (Step 14)
