Job Description
Overview


We are seeking a Meter Reader for assignment in The Villages, Florida. The selected candidate will provide field support by reading customer water meters and recording consumption.


Hours are Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm


  • This position has a pay rate of $15/hr **


Responsibilities


  • Performs other related work as directed; such as: painting, valve turning, water line flushing, water sample collection, etc.
  • Visually checks to see that meters are functioning properly and reports defective meters
  • Reports meter skip not acceptable for reading
  • Turns water meters on and off
  • Reads water meters on an assigned route and records readings
  • Explains and interprets unusual readings to customer


Qualifications


  • A valid Driver’s License
  • High School Diploma or GED
