Unpaid/Volunteering Ai Engineer (Llm)

Analytics 4 Everyone LLC is a Pittsburgh-based startup focusing on developing big data and AI-based solutions. We have an internship opening for AI Engineer with a focus on large language models. While paid internships are better financially, several paid internships focus on having the students do repetitive/routine tasks leading to limited knowledge collection during the internship.

These unpaid internships are designed in two phases; learning and development. These phases are repeated for the duration of the internship. In each iteration, interns will spend 2 weeks of learning followed by 4 weeks of development.

Responsibilities

• Building a custom Large Language Model that considers a specific dataset as its sole knowledge base
• Technologies used include: PySpark (with SparkML), Python, Several Python libraries, HBase, GCP, Docker and Kubernetes
• Evaluating GPT-like algorithms and design a recommendation scheme for them
• Improving the quality of generated text from voice using scalable NLP algorithms

Required Qualifications

• Experience with AI Algorithms
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with PySpark
• Applicant MUST be Masters/PhD students (or graduates) in a US university. Bachelor degree candidates WILL NOT be considered. Also, candidates from outside US will not be considered.
• Experience with GCP
• Applicant MUST have extensive AI background (from coursework).
• Experience with Python

Preferred Qualifications

• Applicant has AI engineering experience

Expectations:

• Daily Core Work Hours: 11am-4pm ET / 8am-1pm PT
• Expected Weekly Commitment: (Either 20-25 hours or 35-40 hours)
• Interns will receive HR letters and "Thank You" certificates upon successful completion of the internship
• You must provide your US-based work authorization
