What We Have to Offer:

Plans flight assignments and obtains briefing information regarding purpose of the flight, weather, operating procedures and special instructions.

Conducts a start of shift briefing with the assigned medical, communications and ground personnel.

Ensures cargo is properly secured and emergency equipment are aboard.

Files, activates and closes the flight plans.

Ensures proper completion of flight logs, records and maintenance forms.

Logs all mechanical discrepancies as they occur and informs maintenance personnel.

Bachelor's Degree or Military Experience.

CFI (Certified Flight Instructor) certification is highly desirable.

Experience in conducting demonstrations and equipment testing.

Knowledge of UAS technology, airspace regulations, and industry best practices.

Excellent communication and instructional skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to trainees.

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities in UAS equipment.

Manages student workload of 3-8 students in pursuit of FAA Pilot certificates.

Manages student records, endorsements and TSA documents for the flight school.

Completion of the Air Combat Command Classroom Instructor Course or MAJCOM equivalent satisfies the CRI requirement.

Ability to meet AFI 11-2 MQ-1/9, Volume 1, Chapter 2 Instructor Pilot Prerequisites prior to certification as an MQ-1/9 IP.

Tracks flight hours to determine schedule for preventative maintenance; ensures instruments are certified in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations.

Maintains written and computerized flight logs and aircraft/pilot records to comply with FAA regulations and other federal guidelines.

Participates in training and remains current on FAA Airworthiness Directives and related periodic publications.

Work with the Chief Pilot and/or Regional Aviation Managers concerning issues related to pilot job performance issues

Maintains required documentation per FAA / company standards.

Posts and updates files into Electronic Data Management System (EDMS).
