Job Description
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic typist to join our dynamic team. As a typist, you'll play a vital role in our company, ensuring that all documents are accurately typed and free from errors.
Responsibilities
You'll use your fantastic typing skills to transcribe various media, including written documents, audio recordings, and handwritten notes.
As an excellent listener, you'll take notes and record minutes of meetings, ensuring that all important information is captured and documented.
With your excellent writing skills, you'll help draft reports, spreadsheets, presentations, and other written material, ensuring that all documents conform to our company's high standards.
You'll be a whiz at reformatting, converting, and merging documents, ensuring that all documents are consistent and well-organized.
With your keen eye for detail, you'll proofread all completed work, correcting any spelling, punctuation, or grammatical errors.
You'll be responsible for managing and maintaining our physical and digital document filing systems, ensuring that all documents are filed correctly and can be easily retrieved when needed.
You'll also be responsible for performing general office duties, such as copying, scanning, printing, and answering phone calls and emails, among others.
You'll keep our office running smoothly by ensuring that office supplies are maintained and alerting the supervisor of any issues or requirements.
Requirements
To excel in this role, you'll need to have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Prior experience as a typist or data entry clerk is preferable, but not essential.
You'll need to be able to type at a speed of 50-80 words per minute.
You'll need to be a skilled listener and able to type from dictation.
Proficiency in office software such as MS Word, Excel, and Google Docs is a must.
You'll need to have a sharp eye for detail and be able to spot spelling and grammar errors.
Excellent vocabulary and command of the English language are essential.
You'll need to have exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Familiarity with paper and digital document filing systems is preferable.
Strong time management and organizational skills are critical.
