Treasury Analytics Analyst Jobs

SUMMARY/OBJECTIVES

The Treasury Analytics Business Analyst will be responsible for supporting the timely and accurate production of financial and non-financial reporting for the department, assisting with the execution of first line control testing, assisting with the management of the model lifecycle across IRR, Credit, Liquidity, and Capital risk modeling, and representing Treasury Analytics on ad hoc projects.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Assist with the preparation of committee materials.

• Design, develop, modify, and implement dashboards using PowerBI, Tableau, or ThoughtSpot

• Organize and inventory documentation for model validations.

• Work across the department to ensure timely updates to ongoing model monitoring templates.

• Assist with the remediation of model risk management findings.

• Maintain the department’s calendar of activities to ensure deadlines are aggregated and met.

• Update monthly and quarterly reporting templates across the Treasury Analytics functions.

• Maintain data sets.

• Execute key control testing and complete peer review checklists.

• Coordinate components of key department activities such as, capital stress testing, interest rate risk modeling, calculating the allowance, and ad hoc model development

Qualifications, Education, and Certification Requirements

• Education: Four-year degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, or related field Experience: Recent college graduate with experience interning at a financial institution or mid- to large-size corporation

• Certifications/Specific Knowledge: Ability to read, understand, and modify SQL code in support of department reporting; familiarity with Python and common libraries used to manipulate and analyze data in support of maintaining the department’s financial models; willingness to pursue CFA designation and other relevant data science certifications.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be able to effectively access and interpret information on computer screens, documents, reports, and cash denominations, and identify customers. This position requires a large amount of time in front of a computer. This can be done sitting or standing with the use of the right desk.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment may be in a private office at a bank property or telecommuting. Telecommuting environments (no matter if hybrid or 100% full time telecommuting) must have a secure home office environment that is free from background noise and distractions. They must also have a reliable private internet connection that is not supplied by use of cellular data (hot spot). Cable or fiber connections are preferred. Requirements are subject to change, as new systems and technology are delivered. Travel may be required to come to meetings as needed.
