Travel Patient Care Technician (Pct)

We are seeking a Patient Care Tech (PCT) to join our team to continue to provide all patients with high quality care. Our teams work hard to support each other and we're hiring talented individuals like you to join our mission!

Job Summary

Responsibilities:

• 0-25% Travel required
• Attends facility required staff training and meetings
• Log completed laboratory procedures completed and process related paperwork
• Perform point of care testing such as: strep, mono, glucose, influenza, Urine pregnancy, Urinalysis, blood glucose levels. You must orient patients/families/caregivers to room and the hospital routine
• Perform clerical work as needed, including assembling/maintaining charts, filing, answering/transferring phones, and relaying messages
• Obtain and record initial and ongoing patient information throughout the cycle of care, including admissions data, vital signs, vison, audio, urine drug screens, breath alcohol, EKGs, and pulmonary function testing
• Maintain examination rooms and stock necessary medical supplies
• Assists with registering patients and cleaning rooms as requested

Qualifications:

• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with staff, patients, and families
• Ability to identify equipment problems and correcting or notifying team leader
• Ability to apply written instructions and standardized work practices
• Medical Assistant Certification preferred
• Computer knowledge and skills, must be able to register patients on the computer in a timely manner
• Up to date on injections, and provide documentation, as per OSHA guidelines
• Minimum high school degree or equivalent
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work in a fast paced, team environment

• Ability to perform all job duties with no accommodations, including lifting to 50 pounds, repeatedly bend and twist, and stand for 10-12 hours per day
