Job Description
InfraHire is looking for Transportation Manager, Folcroft, PA


Responsibilities


  • Send mileage and reefer hours to penske before the 25th of each month
  • Keep detailed organized records of vehicles, schedules, and MVR verification
  • Stay up to date on safety regulations
  • Follow up on go over credits, make sure they return keys, hand trucks
  • Recruit, interview, road test, hire and train as needed
  • Closely monitor driver performance via the use of available technology and other control features
  • Renew registrations
  • Uniforms
  • Communicating with drivers regarding pick-ups and drop-offs, delays, emergencies, and other relevant information
  • All drivers have proper qualifications
  • Point of contact for drivers for check pick-ups, product pickups, directions, etc
  • Check-in drivers at end of routes completing returns and refusals and missings
  • Hires/terminates/disciplines/evaluates drivers 3 months and yearly in conjunction with HR
  • Lease negotiation
  • Vehicle inspections
  • Monitor and report transportation costs
  • Driver meetings quarterly
  • Motivate, direct, coach and develop a diverse, high performing and engaged team to meet established goals and build organizational capability.
  • Schedule maintenance (repairs and cleaning) as needed
  • Submit equipment repair authorizations to truck vendors, review maintenance bills and authorize to be paid
  • Review driver logs and paperwork to ensure accuracy and adherence to policy and Department of Transportation (DOT)
  • Create training guide for drivers/temps/new hires
  • Monitors drivers' hours and keeps it fair
  • Random truck check
  • Inspires team to high levels of achievement through positive reinforcement and persuasive messages.
  • Meet with drivers upon return, review VIRs and driver manifests as drivers return, verify stop order, length of time at stop,etc
  • Fueling, Ezpass and GPS tracking and admin (set up alerts for speeding, stop times, and geo fences, discipline as needed)
  • Schedule temps as needed
  • Manages equipment, repairs, and routine maintenance etc
  • Build new routes, maintain current routes
  • Conduct regular audits on equipment/routes
  • Other tasks related to deliveries, trucks, drivers, as assigned.
  • Create and administer two-week drivers' schedules
  • Create weekly route analysis costs (total miles traveled, total fuel costs, total driver man hours, total truck expenses)
  • Work with HR to follow up on accidents/claims
  • Post-accident requirements
  • Routes efficiently
  • Analyze routes monthly and sooner if needed to accommodate
  • Deal with driver in-transit and delivery issues, Update CS and sales about delivery issues
  • Fill in on route as needed or call on Sales team to execute route
  • Log parking tickets and violations
  • Runs monthly DOT violation reports to investigate any new ones
