This role is accountable for inbound transportation operations and analytics, including import and domestic. The Senior Manager role partners with internal and external stakeholders to drive process improvement and operational success. The Senior Manager will have responsibility for managing all aspects of the Inbound Transportation budget, P&L and savings initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Maintain service, cost, and operational key performance indicators and provide continual visibility to internal stakeholders
- Work cross-functionally with URBN brands, the Global Supply Chain organization, IT and Supply Chain Finance to achieve URBN’s goals and objectives
- Secure adequate capacity to ensure business continuity
- Ownership of ocean, air, drayage, transload, domestic inbound linehaul ship modes
- Deliver cost savings within the North America transportation network through procurement events and network optimization projects
- Define, develop, and implement the transportation standard processes required to deliver on URBN’s import and domestic inbound transportation goals
- Partner with the URBN Sourcing organization to develop and implement strategies that drive on-time delivery of inbound POs
- Lead the procurement of transportation services to enable effective execution of the North American transportation strategy
Qualifications
- Expert knowledge of the RFI/RFP process, provider selection and implementation
- Thorough knowledge of Transportation related financials and the impact to the business
- Ability to work and thrive across all levels of the organization, able to regularly engage Executive Leadership
- Experience driving performance through metrics, KPIs and scorecards
- Passionate Leader that thrives on leading and developing an energetic team
- Minimum 5 years of supply chain or transportation related experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Proven track record in direct support of transportation/transportation operations in a Retail environment
- Deadline driven and displays a sense of urgency
- Must have a continuous improvement mindset and be focused on optimized processes, industry best practices and innovation
- Experience with TMS, WM and PLM PO management systems
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics/Supply Chain or equivalent work experience preferred
