Transmission Department Manager

We are currently looking for a qualified Transmission Department Manager to join our team. The Transmission Department Manager is responsible for managing the operational and technical activities of the Transmission Department. This includes leading and managing transmission line designs, high voltage operations, and other related activities. The successful candidate must have a minimum of 8 to 16 years of work experience in the transmission industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and evaluate department performance and take corrective action as necessary.
• Ensure that all department personnel are properly trained and certified in their areas of expertise.
• Develop and maintain communications with external stakeholders, such as public utilities, contractors, and other entities.
• Participate in the development and implementation of departmental budgets.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize the department's efficiency and effectiveness.
• Ensure the safety of all personnel and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to transmission operations.
• Provide professional guidance and support to all department personnel.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with all department personnel.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Plan, organize, direct and control all activities related to the Transmission Department.
• Develop and maintain systems and procedures for the safe operation of the department.
• Develop and implement plans for the efficient operation of the department.

Qualifications And Requirements

• Excellent organizational, problem solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Minimum of 8 to 16 years of experience in the transmission industry.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in transmission lines, designs and high voltage operations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate and lead personnel.
