10+ years of experience in infrastructure stakeholder development, energy/utilities sector, project management or linear infrastructure project development

Manage department key performance indicators and provide recommendations to improve metrics where applicable

Identify and manage key project risks across all aspects of project development and execution

Oversee cross functional groups to gather and document process/system improvement requirements

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Economics, Engineering, Finance, or other relevant field

Experience managing large projects and/or teams

Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience; minimum of 3 years of work experience with an Associates degree.

Familiar with or have experience in using a variety of computer applications.

Attention to detail; analytical skills.

Familiarity with the generation interconnection process, interconnection tariffs, and electrical standards and requirements.

Identify potential network upgrades and associated costs for queue projects.

Validate interconnection analysis conducted by RTO/ISO/TO through duplicate and shadow studies, identifying potential interconnection issues.

Inform decisions on staying or withdrawing from projects or reducing capacity based on anticipated network upgrade costs.

Support existing operational facilities in addressing transmission-related issues.

Review interconnection studies to ascertain their impact on project cost, schedule, and operational characteristics, ensuring they are reasonable and timely.

• Ensures appropriate communications on all transmission events to LCRA System Operations management, LCRA Customers, and ERCOT.

• Studies and works to obtain NERC Operator Certification and ERCOT System Operator Certification.

You will be trusted to:

• Under supervision, maintains a reliable transmission system voltage profile with operations within first contingency limits.

• Utilizes one-line diagrams as a tool in writing and checking switching orders.

• Monitors weather conditions to ensure LCRA system operations readiness during adverse weather conditions.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability and poise to interact comfortably with senior levels of management.

Manage and maintain Promod databases and assumptions files.

2+ years’ experience in economic modeling or data analyses is required.

Demonstrated experience running PROMOD or Plexos is strongly preferred

Experience in detailed economic modeling of transmission networks, thermal and renewable generators using Promod, Plexos, or Aurora is strongly preferred.

Working knowledge of CAISO, MISO, SPP and/or ERCOT wholesale electricity markets highly desired.

Manage a portfolio of utility interconnection applications from initial submission through closeout

Prepare, submit and manage interconnection requests

Remote work: limited since it's a head office function, though some flexibility for specific periods

•.Minimum of 3 years of experience in transmission planning and power flow analysis

Analyze interconnection due diligence materials to support project acquisition efforts, identify existing and potential red flags

Frequently works with energized high voltage systems requiring skill and care to protect the lives of themselves and others.

Capable of learning basic knowledge of materials used in line work.

Understands DOT requirements (pre-trip/post trip inspections, etc.)

Possess a basic knowledge on safe use of chain saw, bush axe, etc.

Previous line school experience preferred but not required.

Learn to safely operate various types of transmission and distribution equipment i.e., Digger/Derrick flex track, bucket trucks, wire puller/tensioner.

Requires a record of safe driving.

Requires ability to climb poles and structures.

Position requires frequent off-hour call-ins and travel.

Ability to be effective in a diverse and multicultural environment.

Must have a good knowledge of the distribution and transmission system, the voltages of circuits, and the areas which they serve;

Must have a thorough knowledge of the Company's electrical construction methods and. practices;

Must pass EEI Construction and Skilled Trades (CAST) Test

Successfully pass skills verification test

Must have all the qualifications of a Second Class Transmission Lineman and, in addition:

Must be willing to work an abnormal schedule on "Emergency" Assignment; and
