Overview

Gilbane is seeking a Transition Project Consultant I to be responsible for the planning and tactical execution of a short-term project scope of work or a specific task on a larger project, either individually or through supervision of less senior staff. This role will sit primarily on the job site, with occasional travel to the office for trainings, meetings, etc.

Responsibilities


  • Prepare scopes of work for competitive procurements
  • Provide input into and participate in performance reviews, as requested
  • Develop information for review by more senior staff before presentation to owner for decision making
  • Monitor adherence to contract
  • Act as owner’s representative in managing onsite vendors during activation and move timeframes
  • Work independently to identify required tasks and initiate activity
  • Implement the Furniture, Fixture and Equipment Plan
  • Develop implementation plans for review by senior manager
  • Facilitate project meetings with client, vendors, move coordinators, etc.
  • Serve as the client’s onsite point of contact for related work
  • Supervise and guide less senior project staff in implementation of the work
  • Develop monthly report for review by more senior staff prior to submission


Experience/Education


Qualifications


  • BS or MS degree in related field
  • 3-5 years of project management experience
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities


  • Knowledge of BIM360, CADD, Bluebeam
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Construction document and drawing literate
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project, Access)
  • Ability to travel and flexibility to work evenings and weekends as necessary
  • Excellent listening skills


Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.


For San Francisco and San Jose, CA this ranges from $80,000.00-$105,000.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
