Job Description

Seeking a talented and experienced Instructional Designer/Developer to join our Global Learning team.

In this role, you will design and develop performance-enhancing training programs and tools for Hotel Sales, Global Sales, Brands, and Leadership development.



You will collaborate with stakeholders and other Instructional Designer/Developers to create training materials and ensure their effective implementation across all regions and stakeholder areas. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Identify and develop innovative opportunities and delivery methods to enhance training effectiveness.
  • Assist regions with deployment activities for global rollout initiatives.
  • Provide recommendations on training approaches, design methodologies, and training distribution strategies.
  • Liaise with global and regional learning teams and stakeholders to conduct training needs assessments, collaborate on content development, and gather feedback.
  • Support training deployment efforts across regions and key stakeholders, sharing best practices and providing feedback.
  • Gather and integrate best practices and tools from all regions and stakeholders into training documentation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather specifications, select target audiences, and recommend changes for training products.
  • Develop global and regional documentation and training tools that incorporate the strategic use of systems/products.
  • Create and maintain training materials using established methodologies, catering to different delivery formats such as instructor-led workshops, eLearning, virtual learning, mobile learning, gamification, microlearning, and video.


Required Qualifications: Education:


  • Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field of work or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.

Experience:


  • Three or more years of progressive work-related experience in instructional design and performance consulting, with a focus on training content development for complex systems.


Technical Skills and Knowledge:


  • Sound understanding of instructional design principles, adult learning practices, and Microsoft Office products.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
  • Knowledge of hotel operations is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) to effectively convey technical and strategic information to stakeholders and colleagues.
  • Demonstrated project management experience, including organizing, planning, and executing large-scale projects.
  • Proficiency in learning authoring tools such as Adobe Captivate, Adobe InDesign, Articulate Storyline, Camtasia, and Creative Cloud.
  • Outstanding analytical, organizational, and creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong presentation skills for delivering ideas, programs, and strategies to corporate and hotel colleagues.


Accountability:


  • Ensure curriculum content and delivery methods of training materials align with requirements.
  • Develop training solutions based on needs analysis and identification of performance gaps.
  • Adhere to Global Learning requirements, regional training needs, brand visual identifications, and IHG best practices for outsourced training products and tools.
  • Drive the development and execution of training programs globally to enhance performance at the hotel level.

Key Relationships: Internal:


  • Collaborate closely with Global Learning, Global Sales, and Brand teams.
  • Engage frequently with regional training teams, functional teams, hotel operations teams, and stakeholders.
  • Work in coordination with the Global Learning Design + Development CoE.
