Trader Assistant (Commodities Fo) - Leading Hedge Fund - Up To $200K Total Comp Package

A prestigious global hedge is looking to make a key NYC based hire into its front office facing trade support team to meet the demands of their rapidly expanding commodities business.

This is a newly created hire reporting directly into the Global Head of Trade Support, primarily focused on Commodities and all related Futures. This position is not focused on processing, but instead the controls post-execution (around trade capture/booking/matching). The hire will be heavily involved in projects relating to process improvement, using his/her initiative to seek out opportunities to work on strategic projects and be able to manage them through completion.

This is a role which directly faces off to industry leading Commodities Portfolio Managers and Traders, as well as Prime Brokers.

Candidates should ideally have 3-7 years of relevant experience (Trader Assistant, Middle Office, or the alike) with expertise in commodities products, specifically Power and Gas. Advanced tech/Excel skills are helpful, but the key to this hire is relevant product knowledge.

The role can pay up to a $200k year one total comp package. In addition, my client offers one of the best benefits packages in the hedge fund market.
