Trade Compliance Analyst - Americas

Role Summary:

The Global Trade Compliance Analyst will act as an integral part of the Global Trade Compliance Team in performing a wide array of trade compliance tasks to support Flowserve globally, with particular focus on the Americas. This role will provide proactive and ad hoc support, as needed, for all business operations and locations globally and will report directly to the Trade Compliance Manager – North America.

Responsibilities:

• Liaise with the business, as necessary, to draft and submit export licenses
• Understand the requirements of Free Trade Agreements and other duty minimization programs for the Americas; help to implement internal programs to effectively utilize such programs
• Other responsibilities and projects as assigned
• Review and update classifications, as necessary
• Classify products for import and export and maintain the classifications in various ERP systems
• Track license applications and maintain export license files accordingly
• Update, draft and implement trade compliance policies/procedures/guidelines, with supervision as needed, and aid in the overall implementation of the trade compliance program
• Help create and participate in trade compliance related training
• Undertake Denied Party Screenings and evaluate potential matches, including releasing blocks in SAP/GTS
• Identify import/export compliance issues and escalate as appropriate

Requirements:

• Knowledge of import/export documentation requirements and experience classifying products for import/export
• Experience working in SAP or similar ERP systems and a willingness to learn
• Knowledge of and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
• 2-5 years of experience in import/export compliance functions
• Goal oriented with a desire to grow personally and professionally within a global team
• Working knowledge of relevant import and export regulations in the Americas, specifically for the US
