Geeky Technologies is looking for an experienced Level 1 Repair Technician who is interested in developing their skills and growing with our business.We are a computer repair [break-fix] shop supporting local businesses and residential client since 2010. Currently, we are expanding our services toward managed services and we are looking for a IT professionals to join us on this promising journey,
As a Level 1 Repair Technician, your primary role will be to deliver outstanding technical support to our clients through both remote and on-site assistance. Your responsibilities will include diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, performing hardware repairs, and collaborating closely with our Level 2 Technicians and Managed Service team. Together, we will ensure the highest level of customer service and support for our valued clients.
Responsibilities
- Perform hardware repairs on laptops, including screen replacements, hard drive replacements, and general component replacements
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity
- Perform mobile device repairs, including screen replacements, digitizer replacements, charge port repairs, etc.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and effective resolution of technical issues
- Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment and software
- Continuously improve your skills and knowledge in IT support
- Provide technical support to clients via in-person, phone, email, and remote access
Qualifications
- Exceptional organizing, time management, and documentation skills
- Proven experience in similar role.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Excellent computer hardware and software troubleshooting and repair skills
- Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Solid understanding of computer hardware and software systems, including Windows and Apple Operating System
- Drivers license with clean driving record
Desired Skills
- Knowledge of common business applications (MS365, Outlook, Quickbooks, Google Workspace etc.)
- Experience in mobile device hardware repair (screens, digitizers, charge ports replacement)
The Right Candidate
- Is able to work alone and with a team as well as report to management/ownership as directed
- Is a self starter. We do not micromanage but do expect a high level of self management and desire to improve on your skills
- Has experience in a commercial setting for IT support but we will also consider a self taught, office/family go to IT person
- Is punctual internally and with customers and communicate with both should there be any issues
- Has a desire to take on more responsibility and be rewarded for it
Business Hours
Full time M-F 10am - 6pm
Potential for additional remote hours, depending on company workload and employee availability/desire
