Job Description

The role of the Territory Sales Manager is to drive co-creation of value and grow the business overall with a selected customer group. The TSM role is also to strengthen collaboration and relationships at the customer group level, ensure an aligned approach from Marel cross all accounts/sites and strive for customer success and high customer satisfaction. The TSM is responsible for the relationship and management of the customer at a group level from a sales perspective and acts as a trusted advisor for the customer.

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite including MS Project, MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Visio.
  • Ability to resolve conflict within group to achieve positive outcomes
  • 7-10 years sales management experience
  • Marel is looking for a Territory Sales Manager for Poultry to join our Sales team covering Arkansas and Missouri. The candidate will be responsible for accounts in this region and would need to live in this region should they be offered this role.
  • Identify strengths/weaknesses
  • Ability to independently manage multiple high-profile client engagements simultaneously
  • Looking for someone with a strong desire to succeed and win
  • Experience with Capital Equipment preferred
  • Strong resource management skills such as
    • ability to resolve conflict within group to achieve positive outcomes
    • ability to provide constructive feedback to resources to achieve positive outcomes

Job description / Responsibilities:

  • New customer development
  • Motivate participants to take actions that maximize growth opportunities
  • Typical travel is four days a week
  • Project identification and development, works with customers to develop project paybacks and justifications.
  • Day to day sales and customer relationship responsibilities for a given region
  • Must build internal relationships to achieve proper support required to complete your responsibilities as a Territory Sales Manager
  • Drive growth through front line sales roles within Marel
  • Maintain the “line of sight” between individual sales results and rewards
  • Developing and obtaining territory sales goals and Business Plans in specified region
  • Customer development and marketing of Marel products
  • Cost containment where it concerns business expenses
  • Required administration work and done in at the time when specified
  • Generate sales growth across core and strategic product lines
  • Always be ethical when conducting business internally and externally
  • Participate in set training programs/Schedules for self-development
