Who We Are
Job Title: Tennis Tournament Coordinator
FLSA Status: Exempt
Department: Athletics
Position Summary: Responsible for the strategic planning, logistics, operations, and coordination of IMG Academy’s Tennis Tournament travel while assisting tennis leadership and coaching staff with daily office task and projects.
Position Responsibilities
  • Understand tournament rules and regulations, for ITF, USTA and UTR
  • Responsible for scheduling, all aspects of travel arrangements and other logistical requirements associated with students and coaches participating in tournaments.
  • Help achieve program goals by successfully planning, organizing and executing IMG Academy’s Tournament and travel schedule together with Tennis leadership.
  • Keep up with Entry and Withdrawal deadlines for each tournaments
  • Track tournament entry deadlines, and track players signed up while updating and tournament results to tennis staff and leadership
  • Produce trip’s budget proposal and communicates with families
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Select host hotels and negotiate group room block agreements for all travel
  • Update and maintain tournament file with appropriate information after event
  • Provide daily assistance to tennis staff and leadership with office tasks and projects
  • Communicate with families to collect payment and with accounting to deduct from student’s tournament account when funds are available.
  • Communicates with coaches and student families on the cost of the trip

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, sports management or related field (or a minimum of 4 years’ equivalent experience)

  • Bilingual
Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Ability to handle outdoor temperatures for a reasonable period of time.
  • Ability to work flexible hours to include nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to lift, move, push and pull equipment or boxes in excess of 40 lbs.
  • Ability to move around campus including gym, turf, fields, etc.
