Maintain a wholesome educational environment.

Counsel students to improve academically in order for them to meet VHSL and NCAA eligibility requirements.

Hold a current certificate in CPR/First Aid and VHSL Coaches education certificate

Teach appropriate skills/techniques within the particular sport.

Demonstrate enthusiasm for sport and coaching responsibilities.

This is a part-time, temporary position with no benefits.

To be able to lift, push, pull objects up to 10 lbs.

Previous coaching experience at the Division I level is preferred .

Assists with the scouting and recruitment of student-athletes, including on-campus visits of prospective student-athletes

Monitors the conditioning and training of student-athletes, in conjunction with the Strength and Athletic Training staff

Participates in the collection and analysis of tactical and statistical data of opponents and assists in designing game plans and strategies.

Attend coaches’ preparatory meetings and implements strategies resulting from these meetings

Advises and counsels with student-athletes regarding their obligations to comply with all rules and regulations related to financial aid and eligibility

Be knowledgeable about all programs and activities offered

Minimum one year of experience in customer service

Assist guests and new members in tours, membership onboarding, etc.

Greet members & guests enthusiastically

Assist members with purchases of retail goods and services

Ability to reason, problem-solve, and perform tasks under pressure

Bachelor’s degree in business, sports management or related field (or a minimum of 4 years’ equivalent experience)

Responsible for scheduling, all aspects of travel arrangements and other logistical requirements associated with students and coaches participating in tournaments.

Excellent organizational and administrative skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced organization

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Excellent presentation skills with the ability to interact with a variety of audiences

Knowledge of junior Tennis and junior tennis tournaments

Excellent written/verbal, time management and quantitative/analytical skills

Digital and Social Media project experience a must

Power Point skills – from content development to professional, streamlined formatting

Contribute to the development of the long-term strategy for the brands/platform, including brand objectives, integrated marketing plans and budgets

Generate consumer marketing plans by leveraging data and consumer insights to efficiently address business opportunities and drive toward agreed upon KPIs

Consumer Mindset - ability to design and execute consumer facing marketing strategies against business opportunities and trends in the marketplace
