Systems Administrator Jobs

Responsibilities

Maintains smooth operation of multi-network and multi-user system environments, including coordination with network engineers and leadership. Monitors and manages system resources, including CPU usage, disk usage, and response times to maintain operating efficiency. Performs systems security administration functions to include user profile and account creation, troubleshooting and issue resolution. Ability to implement, maintain and manage physical and virtual systems and upgrades. Troubleshoot and resolve system-based problems to ensure access.

Other duties may include setting up administrator accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space. Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products. Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery. Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources. May be assigned responsibility for less experienced staff. Manage and maintain hardware and back-end software to support end users. Support multiple centralized anti-virus and patch management systems and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

BS 5-7 Years, MS 3-5, PhD 0-2

Desired skills may include knowledge of VMware vSphere, VMware Horizon, Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM), Active Directory, Storage Area Network (SAN), Network Attached Storage (NAS), Backup Exec Microsoft Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Windows Server 2016/2019.

Target Salary Range

$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
