Robert Half is looking for a Systems Administrator with an understanding of networking public Cloud to support the efforts of an organization in the Manufacturing industry. Responsibilities/Duties

• Partners with Systems Administrator Manager to architect and lead system administration project initiatives that are strategically aligned with all lines of business.
• Troubleshoots technology incidents escalated by Level 1 & 2 IT teams, partners with other Level 3 IT teams, and provides root cause analysis.
• Performs regular system maintenance, tests backup and recovery procedure, and automates tasks via PowerShell or other scripting methods.
• Mentors systems administrators on technical issues, communicates with management as needed, and presents improvements to performance and scalability for existing solutions.
• Produces and maintains detailed procedures required to ensure necessary documentation.
• Primary point of contact for vendor relations and partnerships that provide new solutions to PBV that will be discussed with direct manager and head of Technology.

Requirements
Must have:

• Network understanding but do not need to the router/switch person. Will need to work with network people to make firewall changes.
• SQL Admin - Don’t need a DBA but need SQL, Backup, install, updates…
• Work independently - Looking for a self-starter who is not afraid to ask or help.
• Strong foundation of the basics, strong infrastructure experience. Windows Server, Active Directory, virtualization (VMware (ideally), Nutanix)
• Manage O365, management admin, exchange, share point, MS Teams
• Understand how it all interacts, network, DNS, IP, Infrastructure – everything comes into play.
• Solid background, certs. Degree is not critical

Nice To Have

• 2 years’ experience managing a team.
• 3 years’ experience supporting Linux and other infrastructure underlying an ERP environment.
• AWS experience is great
