Job Description
Title: Systems Administrator
Location: Tallahassee, FL (Remote) Contract

Responsibilities

  • Meet with the project team and other Department staff to manage tasks and deliverables weekly or as directed by the Department.
  • Correspond (verbally and in written formats) with project teams and internal stakeholders regarding project activities, deliverables, and status as directed by the Department.
  • Manage user permissions and resetting passwords in Active Directory as directed in the assigned support ticket, following the guidelines specified in the Department’s Division of Emergency Preparedness and Community Support (DEPCS) Desktop Support Standards document. Document findings in the support ticket.
  • Create training documentation and perform training sessions for staff that show solutions to common problems that occur throughout the workplace as directed by the Department.
  • Research new technologies, methodologies, protocols, or procedures as directed in the assigned support ticket. Document findings in the support ticket.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues as directed in the assigned support ticket. Document findings in the support ticket.
  • Support audio and visual needs of staff when holding teleconferences, webinars, and face-to-face meetings as directed in the assigned support ticket.
  • Research equipment needs of staff and create proposals for the procurement as directed in the assigned support ticket. Document findings in the support ticket.
  • Image machines, new and used, for use by employees as directed in the assigned support ticket, following the guidelines specified in the DEPCS Desktop Support Standards document. This includes the sanitization of hard drives and the installation of software, drivers, and peripherals. Document findings in the support ticket.
  • Troubleshoot printer and scan servers as directed in the assigned support ticket. Document findings in the support ticket.
  • Create and update group policy as directed in the assigned support ticket. Document findings in the support ticket.
  • Update the status, location, ownership, and other pertinent information for equipment as required in the Department’s asset tracking software systems as directed by the Department.
  • Produce detailed accounting of hours worked by tasks monthly or as directed by the Department.
  • Manage computer inventory in the Asset Management System (AMS) as directed in the assigned support ticket following the guidelines specified in the DEPCS Desktop Support Standards document. Document findings in the support ticket.
  • Provide analytical research and complete tasks as directed by the Department.
  • Web Development: Update Internet and Intranet web pages as directed in the assigned support ticket. Document findings in the support ticket.

Qualifications

  • Setting up, maintaining, and supporting SharePoint sites.
  • Meetings facilitation.
  • Supporting and utilizing TEAMS, Skype, or webinar tools.
  • Government or health industry information technology.
  • Troubleshooting computer hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Identifying hardware and software needs for users and creating proposals for the procurement.
  • Creating training documentation and performing training sessions for staff.
  • 8+ years' experience required.
  • Supporting Tandberg video conferencing equipment.
  • Systems administration with a focus on Microsoft technologies.
  • Using a content management system for website development. Must have a strong understanding of html concepts and coding standards.
  • Customer service.
